The Estes D-Region Tomahawk Kit is a 1/5 scale model rocket! Scaled after a one of a kind sounding rocket launched only once in 1968 by NASA to take measurements of the D-layer of the ionosphere (thus its name), this scale model captures all the detail of the original. Standing nearly 39 inches tall, this easy to build rocket includes parts having the scale detailing added to them for fantastic realism. And finishing the model is simple following the simple painting guide in the instructions and easy to apply water transfer decals. The results will be truly a masterpiece for any scale rocket builder whether new or a pro.
The D-Region Tomahawk launches on Estes E engines to heights over 750 feet! Includes an easy to use adapter to launch on Estes D engines as well.
Requires glue, finishing supplies and launch supplies not included. Requires 3/16 inch Maxi launch rod (#302244) - sold separately. E engine launches require the use of Estes Porta-Pad E Launch Pad (# 2238) and E Launch Controller (# 2230) sold separately. Recommended for ages 18 and up with adult supervision for those under 18. |
