The Habicht is a 2600 mm historic glider for slope flying with functional aerodynamic brakes. The DFS Habicht (Hawk) was a fully aerobatic glider specifically designed for performance and was demonstrated in the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936. Its achievements were celebrated at home, but also at the National Air Races (Pylon race around) in Cleveland in 1938. During the war she served training pilots of fighter aircraft missile Messerschmidt Me-163 Komet, which landed as a glider. Now you can meet your "old timer needs" with this superb glider . Appearance to the wing is a pointed "W" which delivers excellent Aerobatic characteristics. The Habicht has a semi laminate fuselage with sealed bulkheads and servo bed. It has a two-piece Wing profile with a modified Clark-Y profile and steel coupling, classical structures with torsion box. The large ailerons are controlled by two servos, another pair of servos are used to control "dump" aerodynamic brakes on the top of the wing. The horizontal tail area and rudder are also pre built and covered. Elevator and rudder servos are stored in the cabin, elevator is controlled by rod (fibreglass tube) completely concealed in the fuselage. This Model comes in an eye catching red and white colour scheme. |
