The convenience of petrol operation, coupled with the world-renowned class, power and reliability of O.S. engineering and manufacturing excellence.
FEATURES : Designed specifically for R.C. aeroplane use. The front mounted WEBRO carburettor means A) linkage, needle adjustment and choke valve operation are all easily made. B) The carburettor is in the optimum position for cooling and better positioned to be less affected by the engine generated heat. C) The "standoffs" can be much shorter or dispensed with which results in a more secure engine installation and will produce less engine vibration. The design of and use of the "shaft rotary valve" results in the valve being opened and closed at the optimum point in the motor's timing and no oil seal is required which reduces rotation loss. One piece crankcase construction with no gaskets needed means excellent precision, alignment and strength. Dense, deep head crankcase fin ensure maximum cooling The high performance piston ring ensures strong compression right off the bat and reduces the period taken for "running in" the engine. The specifically engineered WEBRO carburettor gives ultra smooth transitions from idle through the mid range and all the way to maximum revs. O.S.'s high quality construction offers longer engine life. O.S's precision machining is done on the cylinder lining to achieve accurate "scavenging" and exhaust timing. The piston is machined from low expansion and highly durable aluminium alloy and the connecting rod is machined from extra strong duralumin block. PURPOSE ENGINEERED IGNITION SYSTEM (IG-01) micro-computerized technology resulting in perfect spark advance The I.C. magnetic sensor consists of a magnet installed in the drive hub with the "pick up" sensor mounted on the crankcase. This makes it easy to control ignition timing. It detects a stable position signal for starting and from idle to high speed. employs "CDI" (electronic Capacitor Discharge Ignition) ensuring resistance to a wet plug's tendency to effect the engine firing at an optimum level. maintains high voltage right up to high R.P.M. which reduces misfires. less current draw during idle accepts a wide voltage range of current source (4.8~7.4V) designed to alert user of voltage drop of current source easily by intermittent running. |
